About Jason
"I'm here to help show you why hiring Hexxen as your revenue-generating partner puts you on the fast-track to success."
I am a word guy. And – whether it’s writing, reading, talking, listening, or deciphering – I dig ‘em. As a former sportswriter-and-editor-turned-creative-writer, I've been lucky enough to see and write about some pretty cool things. I'm grateful.
I am a stoic(ish) Scorpio, born on 11/11 at 11 a.m. (I know, I know... the lucky number thing. Well, I'm here to tell you, I spent a lot of my younger days trying to, uh, bank on my lucky number: "Please place my entire yet meager fortune on Black 11, kind roulette dealer. ((c'mon, c'mon))." Nope. Sorry. Green double zero.) I digress...
I'm a diehard hockey fan, a music enthusiast, and I enjoy finding a good hiking trail or scenic river road as much as an Xbox game or a good book/movie in a four-cornered room. I'd love to trade opinions on how to best contain Connor McJesus (nobody can stop him), or your take on the best band to ever come out of Athens, Ga., your go-to scenic spot, or your current can't-miss book or movie. Email me at jr@hexxen.com.
Nickname:
J. It's more of an obvious syllable-shortener than a nickname. Guess my friends thought J-a-s-o-n was too long. I hung around some really deep thinkers.
Slogan:
"Listen more than you talk. Nobody ever learned anything by hearing themselves speak." - Richard Branson
&/or"Spiritual hunger, spiritual thirst. You've got to change it on the inside first... to be satisfied." - John Farmer Bell via Van Morrison
What's your biggest fear?
Monotony.
A fun fact most people don't know about me:
I was adopted at birth. Obviously one of those things that I don't wear on my sleeve. It was a sealed adoption, but the state law changed a few years back and I was given the gift of meeting my birth parents. It's frankly amazing when you learn things about yourself displayed in the simple actions of others, particularly after so much time apart.
